Entries Close:          All cattle to be stalled by 9 am on Saturday 16 March 2024. Entries will be taken up to 1 hour prior to judging upon presentation of correct paperwork.

Special Regulations for section CA.

  1. Cattle outside South East Local Land Services region are to be checked with own LLS region before entering the Yass area. (Appropriate certificates to be supplied).

  2. Exhibitors must furnish the current Cattle Health Declaration.

  3. Waiver forms must be completed before competing.

  4. Age of cattle to be calculated from the day of the Show.

  5. Cattle may be stalled the day prior to judging (no camping allowed).

  6. Bedding of 1 bale of straw per beast will be provided.

  7. All exhibits must be securely tethered by an effective head stall in addition to a neck strap or neck rope.

  8. Breeds not listed in schedule will be judged at the steward’s discretion.

  9. If entries warrant two judging rings may operate in the standard classes. The order of judging will be amended on Show day.

  10. A Champion Ribbon will not be awarded to an animal that has no competition and is in the opinion of the Judge and the Committee not worthy of the award.

The following STANDARD CLASSES are provided, entries to be judged as interbreed classes:

CHAMPION & RESERVE CHAMPION JUNIOR BULL

  1. Bull over 8 months and not over 13 months

  2. Bull over 14 months and not over 17 months

  3. Bull 18 months and not over 20 months

 

CHAMPION & RESERVE CHAMPION SENIOR BULL

  1. Bull 21 months and not over 23 months

  2. Bull 24 months and not over 30 months

  3. Bull over 30 months

 

GRAND CHAMPION BULL

CHAMPION & RESERVE CHAMPION JUNIOR FEMALE

  1. Heifer over 8 months and not over 13 months

  2. Heifer over 14 months and not over 17 months

  3. Heifer 18 months and not over 20 months

 

CHAMPION & RESERVE CHAMPION SENIOR FEMALE

  1. Cow/Heifer 21 months and not over 23 months

  2. Cow/Heifer 24 months and not over 30 months

  3. Cow/Heifer over 30 months

FURTHER CLASSES

  1. Champion Pair (male/female, calf optional, any breeder)

  2. Led Steer or Heifer, milk teeth, any breed or cross. Entries will be divided into classes based on numbers and weights.

 

JUNIOR PARADERS COMPETITION

  1. Parader – 18 years and under. Depending on numbers stewards will allocate age divisions on the day. No bulls to be led in Junior Paraders Competition. (Cattle can be provided on request – competition rules at steward’s discretion.)

 

JUNIOR JUDGING COMPETITION

  1. Competitor – 18 years and under. Depending on numbers stewards will allocate age divisions on the day.
